On New Year's Eve, with thousands of homes lit up for reunion, our company held its annual year-end banquet. In addition to the sumptuous dishes prepared by the restaurant, every employee received a substantial and meaningful gift: a brand-new wok (cooking pot) and two packs of dried fish, which symbolize abundance.
The company specifically chose a wok as a gift, wishing that everyone's life in the new year would be as "hot" and prosperous as a stir-fry. The dried fish carries the traditional blessing of "surplus year after year" .
